| NONPLACE presents Difficult Easy Listening (short info) |
|
For the first time in 4 years all NONPLACE associated artists and bands team up for Difficult Easy Listening, not merely a wild mixture of exotic quality grooves, but an assembly of visionary tunes from extremely different sources. Notoriously not fitting into a single category all formations present 15 previously unreleased songs. The production spectrum ranges from live instrument playing, critical digital sequencing and harmonizing antipodes: FLANGER and CAN-drummer JAKI LIEBEZEIT together with BURNT FRIEDMAN publish their first live recording from shows in Paraguay (with ATOM*) and Japan (with JOSEPH SUCHY). REPLICANT RUMBA ROCKERS (Atom*) supply a Bossa of a foreign nature, the Berlin based Band LYCHEE LASSI provide a reggae dub tune with laid-back slide guitar sound. Hear two intimidating BEIGE Rhythm-plus-Blues interpretations. SWAAI ying-yang. Nonplace welcomes the music of 6 improvisers out of Berlin, SHANK and the results of one week recording out of impulse. THE NU DUB PLAYERS discover triggering Roots-Riddims with horns and clarinet on seldom heard time signatures. Consider this an entertaining parallel to the Fast World. Dedicated to the deliberately mad and condescendingly superior.
